I started out with the bog standard 18-55 canon lens that shipped with my EOS 1000D. I began getting frustrated that the quality of my photos were not as I wished them to be in terms of clarity and colour, even though I was sure I was working the camera properly. After purchasing this lens, my photos are a lot better immediately. The length of the zoom is also wonderful because it gets in close enough without disturbing the subjects, but also is not a bulky lens at all.

I am not a professional but this lens with my Canon T2i Rebel is all I need for general photography. Super clear pictures and the 18-135mm gives me that universal all around lens. I also have the EFS 10-22mm and EFS 55-250mm to cover the extra shots I need.
