Warranty (Electronics) I bought this to improve my range and image quality over the stock lenses - 18-55mm and 75-300mm and the result was visible from the first shot onwards. As with any IS/AF lens, it amazingly fast on focus and handles very well in moving object. I am a pilot and the IS feature is must have for me and believe me compared to Nikon's VR, Canon is a lot better, but that's just my opinion.
One suggestion I give it on all my reviews on lenses is to purchase a good quality UV filter to go with it. I also have a lens hood for this lens. These will really protect the lens and you will thank me later :))

Warranty (Electronics) I purchased this lens to go with a new camera body, and have been extremely happy with its performance. At 18mm, I can take a full body image of a person standing three feet in front of me, while zooming out to 135mm allows amazing clarity and focus on far-away items. The focus is fast and quiet, and the lens is intuitive. This is a great all-around lens for someone that only wants to use one lens on their camera, and shoot in multiple areas.

Ok lens, I don't care for it., June 13, 2011 This review is from: Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Auto Focus Lens Retail White Box U.S.A. Warranty (Electronics) I got this lens with a 60d, and I must say I was not happy with the quality. If you try to shoot wide open, the images are horribly soft. You have to have the f-stop at 5.6-8 for the images to come out sharp, and by that time you've lost a lot of light and DOF. The Focus ring is super loose, and the range is really small, so it's hard to focus sometimes. The build quality is good, but all I really care about are the internals, and they're not too great. I purchased this in a 60d kit to film commercials, and figured the kit lens would be fine since I'm using it at such a low resolution compared to what it's designed for until I get more lenses. I actually prefer to shoot with anything else, I've used the XSi kit 18-55mm, a 50mm 1.8, even a pentax 28mm f2.8 P/K mount with an adapter looked 10x better, and that's a $30 lens off of ebay.
Canon Makes good glass, but this was just a failure. If you've got a kit 18-55 and are looking for a super zoom, the 28-135 is much better. If... Read more
